Connect a ROS 2 robot application to motors, servos and motion sensing through one control board.
Functions
- Drive four supported encoder motors and two PWM servo channels.
- Read the onboard six-axis IMU.
- Connect compatible lidar and serial peripherals.
Components & hardware
ESP32-S3 control board with drive interfaces, IMU, communication connections, buzzer and lighting; robot hardware is separate.
Technology
micro-ROS firmware; ROS 2 communication over supported Wi-Fi or serial connections.
How it works
The host runs the robot application while the board handles connected peripherals. Commands and measurements pass between them through micro-ROS so the software can respond to the robot's motion.
Specifications
- Kit type: Robot Control Board.
- Platform: esp32.
- Control and interfaces: micro-ROS firmware; ROS 2 communication over supported Wi-Fi or serial connections.
- Selected option: micro-ROS control board only.
