Explore feedback control by making a two-wheel robot continually correct its own tilt.
Functions
- Study a live balance-control loop.
- Tune supported PID parameters.
- Observe the effect of motion and sensor feedback.
Components & hardware
STM32 control electronics, six-axis attitude sensor, motors, metal chassis and OLED debugging display.
Technology
STM32F103 controller; accelerometer/gyroscope feedback and PID control.
How it works
The attitude sensor measures motion and tilt. The controller compares the estimate with the target angle and changes wheel speed to reduce the error, repeating this process continuously.
